Cleveland School is located on the northwest side of Chicago. Integration of the fine arts into the curriculum has made Cleveland the "gem" of the Chicago Public Schools.
Cleveland's diverse population serves a majority of Hispanic students. Full time programs such as art, dance, drama, and music help enrich our student's academic achievement. For a record-breaking 7th consecutive year Cleveland has shown gains in reading and mathematics as measured by the Illinois State Achievement Test. According to NCLB standards Cleveland School has nearly 80% of its students meeting or exceeding state standards in reading and mathematics.
In addition to the arts program, Cleveland offers an extensive after-school program and is among one of a few schools that offers High School Algebra to 8th graders. Furthermore, our school offers athletic programs for both boys and girls that includes competition in basketball, volleyball, football, softball, cross-country, track and field, wrestling and cheerleading/dance. Cleveland is very proud of its accomplishments and wishes to invite you for a tour. Please give us a call and schedule an appointment so you can see it for yourself. We'll be waiting!

ISAT Scores Still On the Rise!
WE DID IT AGAIN! A HUGE congratulations to the Cleveland School Community. Our Illinois Standard Achievement Test scores have shown improvement for a record 7th consecutive year. State results show all time high gains in reading, math, and science. Our overall scores show amazing improvement with nearly 80% of our students meeting or exceeding state standards. Wow!
In addition 2008 ISAT results show that 80% of Cleveland students are meeting or exceeding state standards in reading, a gain of an amazing 15.4 percentage points in comparison to 2007. In that same year 77.5% of our students met or exceeded state standards in mathematics. We’ve climbed 4.6 percentage points since that time with an all time high of 82.1% of our students meeting or exceeding state standards in mathematics. This tremendous progress is due to the hard work of teachers, parents, administrators, and students who took up the challenge.
Finally, we continue to show gains in science where in the last two years we have gained 9.3 percentage points. We would like to commend the Cleveland School community for your hard work and commitment to our children. These results are a testimony of what can be done when we work together. We feel honored and proud to be a part of it!
